Marie Claire is committed to representing a diverse portrayal of beauty. For the Skin Awards this is reflected by our judging panel, our democratic judging process and through our content.
Marie Claire is committed to sustainability and championing brands that are working towards a greener future. Judges will be UK based and we will be recycling and reusing packaging sent to us by brands entering products and using local couriers wherever possible when sending judging packs. We also have categories dedicated to sustainability and will be announcing the winners with an environmentally friendly virtual event.
Yes, providing that you have samples available for testing in line with our deadline and that the brand/product launches publicly before 31 October 2023.

Yes, products can be launched at any time apart from the three New to Market categories: Best New Skin Brand, Best New Skin Product or Best Skin Innovation.
No, any companies can enter, regardless of location. Products must be available for UK customers - either stocked in the UK or shipped to the UK.
Please post two products per entry. If you are entering a range/whole brand category please send two of the hero product only. If you are entering the same product into multiple categories then please send two per category as the judges will most likely be different for each.

You can enter your product into multiple relevant categories. One entry is £250 + VAT per product, per category. e.g. if you wanted to enter your brands product into Best Skin Innovation and Best SPF for Face the cost would be £500 + VAT. For most categories, products can be launched at any time, however entrants for the following categories must have been launched in the last 12 months, between July 2022 and July 2023:

Winning brands will be notified by email in November 2023. Winners will be celebrated at our virtual awards in November 2023. The winners are embargoed until after the virtual awards ceremony. Winners will also be announced to the Marie Claire community within editorial content on a dedicated hub on marieclaire.co.uk.
Entries will be judged by the Marie Claire UK team and a selection of experts from our judging panel. Individuals will be selected from our panel to judge the category best suited to their skin type and expertise. Judges will be asked to test the products and provide feedback comments. The scoring criteria is based on efficacy, innovation and packaging (sustainability and design). The highest scoring product will win the category.
In order to minimise waste and as part of our commitment to sustainability we will be re-using delivery packaging that has been sent to the Marie Claire team. All judges will be UK based and we will use local couriers where possible.
Unfortunately we cannot return entry samples.

If your brand or product is launching between August and October 2023 then you will not be able to enter the 'New to Market' categories in 2023, your brand would be suitable for these categories in the 2024 awards. You can however enter other categories within cleanse, treat, moisturise and sustainability, as these products can have launched at any time.
No, unfortunately you cannot enter a prescription-only product into the Skin Awards. All products entered must be available for UK consumers to purchase online or in-store/salon. Winners are featured editorially and therefore we cannot promote prescription-only products that require a GP or professional medical option.
